Event News 2014.07.23 Edinburgh Jazz Festival

Guest With Ken Matheison's Classic Jazz Orchestra
Wednesday, July 23 (7:30pm) in the Spiegeltent

I always look forward to the Edinburgh Festival. This year, on the 23rd, I get to perform some rare and special material as a guest with Ken Matheison's Classic Jazz Orchestra including some original arrangements of un-recorded Jelly-Roll Morton compositions. The Spiegeltent, a mobile theater built in the 1920s with decadent Art Nouveau accents, is the festival's coolest performance venues.

Django à la Créole
Wednesday, July 24 (8pm), Queen's Hall

On the 24th, Django a la Creole will be featured at Queen's Hall, the main venue of the festival. This show will immediately follow a concert in Yorkshire for a return to the Hull Jazz Festival. This season, we are elebrating our 3rd CD by this project that was inspired by Django's historic meeting with Ellingtonians, Barney Bigard and Rex Stewart.
