Event News 2014.03.31 New Orleans Clarinet Summit
Celebrating the tradition of the clarinet in New Orleans is my mission. However, that tradition is broader than many think. Young Lion, Gregory Agid is a completely different clarinetist than I, but shares my view. Saturday, April 5 at the Old U.S. Mint, he and I will share a program to demonstrate this breadth. We will present the tradition of our instrument from Sidney Bechet to Alvin Batiste and some originals of our own.
This concert is presented by NOLA ArtHouse Music and WWNO radio.
The Mint (400 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116) concerts are on the 3rd floor in a state-of-the-art listening venue.
